Shed Window - A semi-abstract study in light and color, exploring the artist’s memories of her childhood. In 2004 & 2006 artist Ann Northrup was in residence at Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, CA, her childhood home. The project, spanning 2 years, was designed to rediscover the memories and emotions of her past and explore their intense connection to a sense of place. The project has opened the door to an exploration of landscape imagery as a source of metaphor for use in her mural and studio compositions.
